The first of two multi-alarm fires this one at West Jefferson and South West End Dr. Responding units reported heavy smoke showing as they were going to the scene. They arrived to find a large 2 story brick factory going throughout. An additional engine and tower ladder were brought in for the 2nd alarm and the crews toook up a defensive attack. During the suppression effort the building would completely collapse nearly hittiing the ladders operating at the front of the building.
