I am still learning how to make good images, (and I hope I’ll always will be). This image is probably the first one where I have asked a person if I could take a picture of them.
I was mostly drawn to the oversized art on the wall, but wanted some human involvement.
The picture is taken at the lobby of the SOFITEL hotel in Jumeirah Beach. After a day with meetings, my colleagues and I had a wrap-up in the hotel lobby. I noticed the artwork as soon as I came in and after manning myself up; I asked one of the woman working in the lobby to stand “model” for me. As you probably can see, she is somewhat uncertain to the whole arrangement.
The more advanced and trained photographer can probably spot errors, easily identifying what I should have done to make this a better image. I still regard this as one of my best, (or more interesting), images from my trip.
This image is the first in my set of B&W’s from Dubai.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, all comments are appreciated.

Last May 12 it rained. You'll perhaps recall that rain was a rarity last spring, so I celebrated by photographing the rain. And wet birds.
==========
This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.
Number of project photos taken: 133
Title of "roll:" Birds in the Rain
Other photos taken on 5/12/2012: The rain had let up a couple hours later; I found some very wet irises and had a run-in with a cat. The Spirea was opening, too. Later in the day I found a swallow on the weather station.
